FULLY AUTOMATIC SYSTEMS 
Fully automatic systems offer the following features ;

Metal frame type station.  
Control unit keeps memory of all transactions. Transactions are executed by chronological order or predetermined priority to stations. Only one carrier is allowed in a zone. Air cushion insures soft landing of carriers at stations.

Sending procedure;
User inserts carrier in sending bracket.
Destination is dialed on keypad.
Control unit keeps transaction in its memory. 
When system is free, sending bracket aligns carrier with transmission conduit.
Carrier is pulled and directed towards destination.
A device keeps a second carrier from beeing sent.
 

ADVANTAGES
1) Receiving bin for carriers at stations.
2) User never has to care for incoming carriers when he sends.

DISADVANTAGES
1) Metal framed stations cost more than sliding sleeve stations.
2) Size of station.

FULLY AUTOMATIC PNEUMATIC TUBE SYSTEMS 6'' or 4''
(BASIC CONTROLS)

1. WIRING BETWEEN STATION / DIVERTERS

- Reference drawings 872-E2, E3, E3A.
- Low Voltage control cable, 6 pair 22 ga. Shielded (RS- 422).
- 120 volt single phase required at station / diverter and zone control panel.
- Each zone has a control panel that controls the air shifter, transfer diverters and blower.
- The blowers are 3 phase.

2. STATION CONTROLS

Each station has ;
a) Liquid crystal display
b) Key pad
c) Arrival light (and optional buzzer)
d) Micro processor on P.C. board with I / O inputs optically coupled (MP1000) 
e) Optical sensors, dispatch, arrival, overload

3. DIVERTERS

Some diverters also have a MP1000 control board if they are not controlled from a station. We call these ‘smart’ diverters, they are controlled from the CPU (central processing unit).


4. MAIN CONTROL (CPU)

- The main control is an IBM compatible computer with  hard drive 200 Meg + floppy + 1 Meg Ram min.
- Keyboard & coloured monitor SVGA are supplied (do not use IBM or Compaque computers).
- Interface board to allow the computer to communicate with the system.
- Optional software allows you to control the system remotely via modem.
- The computer program is loaded into the CPU. The user can change priorities, add delete stations, turn station ON and OFF by schedule, etc.
- The user can connect a printer for hard copy, however all the files for alarms and trafic are recorded on the hard drive and can be retrieved any time by day (date, month, day, year).
